Skandalaris as our speaker. His topic is "The Economy and Its
Impact on the Buyout World." As you can see, we are building
our programs on a solid academic foundation and continuing to build
bridges to the business community.

Robert Skandalaris is an author, entrepreneur, and philanthropist who
has founded several public and private companies, including
Noble International (NASDAQ:NOBL), a technology-based company
that has become the world’s largest supplier of laser-welded blanks and
structural tube parts to the automotive industry. He also founded
corporate investor
Quantum Ventures of Michigan, LCC, a privately held company
specializing in the acquisition and development of middle-market firms,
and has completed a successful public offering of Manitex, Inc. (NASDAQ:MNTX).
Bob is the author of
Rebuilding the American Dream, a book about the importance of
innovation and entrepreneurship, and is currently working on an
edutainment series for teenagers about entrepreneurship. In addition, he
is an active philanthropist and helped to establish the well-regarded
Skandalaris Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Washington
University in St. Louis, as well as a non-profit organization called the
Skandalaris Family Foundation. Mr. Skandalaris earned a BA in
Finance from Michigan State University and an MS in Accounting from
Eastern Michigan University. He currently lives in Bloomfield Hills,
Michigan, with his wife Julie. |
